About the Role :

As the Director of Marketing, RBX Operations, you will lead and innovate within the Retail Brand Experience (RBX) team, focusing on project management, process optimization, communications, logistics, production, and creative marketing functions. Your role will be pivotal in designing and delivering Target’s in-store experience, positioning us as America’s favorite discovery destination. You will lead a team driven by curiosity, creativity, and courage, known for demonstrating possibilities and finding joy in collaborative work.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the strategic shift of how RBX team can enable connected storytelling by integrating Store Experience and Visual Merchandising experiences
  • Engage with senior leadership at headquarters in Minneapolis to ensure alignment of business goals and strategic priorities.
  • Lead the RBX Project Management, Process, Communications, Logistics, Production teams in Target In India
  • Drive innovation projects with a nimble, learn-and-iterate approach.
  • Establish best practices, routines, and new processes to achieve operational excellence.
  • Lead annual planning, forecasting, end-to-end timing & action, project health, and day-to-day routines.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external partners.
  • Guide, inspire, and maintain a high-performing team, evaluating individual and holistic performance, development, and goals.
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including Store Ops, Procurement, IRL, and Print Vendor Leader Relationship Management.
  • Foster team member development and balance the delivery of work among brand-right creative quality, cost efficiency, productivity, and volume of work.
  • Identify, research, analyze, and manage risks and interdependencies within projects/systems/resource changes and formulate appropriate plans.
  • Represent marketing in large company-wide initiatives/forums and contribute to developing the larger India organization.
  • Work with Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness, and other related teams on talent assessment, planning, development, and career pathing.

REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIP:

Reports to Vice President Marketing

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor degree in business, marketing, design or equivalent professional experience
  • 10+ yrs of marketing, communications or design related experience
  • Experience with a large marketing/ advertising firm or directly with a corporation. US experience is highly desired.
  • Experience in building, developing and managing creative/design/marketing operation teams with particular emphasis on direct management and talent development/coaching
  • Skills and experience in creative development that may include photography, video, copywriting, publishing, graphic design and interactive development

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience leading teams utilizing creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in building teams from scratch
  • Experience leading virtual/remote teams and working in a global environment
  • Relationship with or participation in organizations supporting creative and design communities
  • MBA, MFA or other advanced degree
