Join the Agile Enablement Tools Team where you will help the community of Agile & Product teams deliver work through supporting their work backlog, idea & knowledge management, content, and chat tools. You will play a key role in helping teams deliver work across Target.

Use your skills, experience, and talents to be a part of this impactful team.  As an Engineer, you'll:

  • Apply infrastructure as code practices by leveraging Github & Ansible to automate configuration management, deployment, and orchestration

  • Build capabilities and integrations to enable self-service for our customers

  • Provide technical leadership in resolving incidents

  • Oversee preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolve problems to ensure infrastructure and application stability

  • Enable customers by building Slack bots and integrations between tools

  • Build infrastructure and deploy new vendor packages

Preferred Experience:

  • ChatOps (Slack & bot development), product and backlog management tools (Jira, Confluence) and knowledge management tools (Stack Overflow); Or experience supporting vendor package and SAAS solutions

  • Infrastructure as Code capabilities (Packer, Ansible)

  • CI/CD (GitHub, Drone/CircleCI, Docker/Kubernetes)

  • Databases (Postgres, MongoDB)

  • Programming languages (Python, Golang)

 Requirements:

  • 4 year degree or equivalent experience

  • 1+ years of software development experience

  • Demonstrates familiarity with current and emerging technologies in own scope of responsibility, and develops ability to apply these technologies

  • Understands concepts of package solutions and package specific programming language with knowledge of development objects

  • Demonstrates and continuously builds upon domain-specific knowledge

  • Demonstrates proficiency in at least one computer language

  • Understands the concepts of distributed programming and applies it to their domain

  • Possesses working knowledge of transaction codes/master data used within specific domain and participates in building custom solutions in the package

  • Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise

  • Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
