Lead Specialist RedCard Operations

A role with the RedCard Operations team as a Lead Specialist RedCard Operations will entail you to thoroughly research and resolve guest’s disputed credit/debit card accounts and transactions. Reviews and codes high risk accounts by using thoughtful consideration and research through multiple process applications while aware of Target MasterCard guidelines, Compliance requirements based on US federal regulations while minimizing financial loss to Target and delivering a good brand experience to the guest.   

You’ll also have an opportunity to:

Reviews and performs maintenance on guest accounts-

  • Ensure all credit bureau disputes reviews and corrections are made in a timely manner to restore the claimant’s credit history.
  • Review and complete maintenance on all the Manual Re-age, Settlement, Recovery Operations accounts.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise.

Responsible for ensuring service level guidelines are met for each processed account and/or report. Maintain department expectations and goals related to Quality, Efficiency, and Capacity Utilization. Exercises sound judgment in reviewing accounts where there are no prescribed techniques available. Review reports and documents to ensure data integrity and ensures weekly reports for the required processes are shared and updated accurately/timely. Works with business partners to resolve all accounts which are related to compliance. Demonstrates knowledge of Red Card and Compliance. Actively participate and contribute to existing projects, all new transitions, cross training/programs implemented within the team. Maintains consistent and follows up with MPLS partners. Escalates issues to leadership when appropriate. Effectively follow up with MPLS partners regarding process changes/calibration on timely basis. Communicates with all kinds of internal and external partners, finding solutions for daily job and try to optimize working processes to improve efficiency. Drives innovation by critical thinking and applying LEAN and other process improvement methodologies in daily activities. Performs training to the team/new hires through classroom/Video conference’s. Participate in specially assigned activities as directed by MPLS and Manager to contribute knowledgeable suggestions and recommendations on improving the process. Compiles data and prepares monthly activity reports and, periodically, more specialized reports for management. Acts as a backup for the Analyst to support reporting and other functions based on the need. Ensures to complete the assigned workload with additional responsibilities as an SME within the stipulated hours of work. Coaches TM on process errors, Partner feedback, compliance reports etc.

  • 2 – 3yrs work experience
  • Computer Proficiency
  • Exceptional communication skills; verbal, written and listening
  • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
  • Proven excellence in customer service and problem solving
  • Strong organizational, analytical, planning and decision making skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team

Desired Requirements:

  • Understanding of the Credit systems and functions such as Collections/Disputes
  • Previous Banking/Retail Industry experience
  • Understanding of reporting and general ledger procedures
