ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

  • The Property management team strategically manages Target Properties to deliver value, reliability, and brand. We strategize to deliver optimal asset performance, reliability, and longevity. This role requires a person to collaborate and contribute to asset portfolio management under the guidance of department leader and key HQ partners. We are looking for someone who is accountable and has a deep commitment to learning. The candidate should be able to understand US building codes and be comfortable working within CAD platforms. As a lead specialist you will be supportive in implementing PM strategies and priorities for key projects/processes.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Asset management teams with preventative Maintenance Programs for all assets across Target Stores.
  • Ensure our stores are running as per defined operational guidelines using Target-managed platforms.
  • Support sustainability initiatives in waste minimization and energy conservation at all U.S. Target Stores.
  • Analyze Engineering services such as lighting and HVAC issues and exception report on regular basis and provide brand right solutions.
  • Support and deliver special engineering projects for key assets such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural using building standards and US building codes.
  • Ensure our assets and their corresponding data are accurately and consistently maintained across multiple platforms.
  • In coordination with partners, ensure all our vendor contracts are reviewed and uploaded in the required platforms and appropriate stakeholders are granted required access to our systems.
  • Effectively coordinate with external vendors as required to manage accurate data points for our assets.
  • Be active participant in transitioning new processes and projects as part of global resource strategy.
  • Deliver low to medium complex projects by meeting set expectations by partners.
  • Ensure effective coordination with both internal teams as well as HQ partners.
  • Support team in implementing new process improvement ideas by leveraging technology with financial/time impact.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with multiple stakeholders both within and outside of team.
  • Be proficient in skillsets such as CAD drawing and Engineering calculations as per US building codes.
  • Support team in achievement of timelines, productivity, and quality goals for assigned processes/projects.
  • Support transition of new processes by delivering them on set expectations.
  • Seeks regular feedback on development and drives consistent improvement through action plans.
  • Ability to work under pressure and take decisions with minimal guidance.

REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to Manager/Sr. Manager, Property Management

Working relationship: All teams within Asset management, portfolio management and business services (US and India)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience managing building design and drawings.
  • Proficient in CAD platforms such as Revit/MicroStation.
  • Ability to read and understand US building codes and engineering services drawings.
  • Good communication skills (verbal/written) with the ability to effectively communicate with both internal as well as partners.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new platforms/applications as required by business.
  • Ability to work under pressure and support business as required.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Positive attitude and the ability to effectively work as one team.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work under direction.
