Team Overview:
Roundel is Target’s entry into the media business; an advertising sell-side business built on the principles of first party (people based) data, brand safe content environments and proof that our marketing programs drive business results for our clients. We operate with the ethos of trust and transparency and that media works best when it works in everyone’s best interest. At the very root of that, Roundel is here to drive business growth for our clients, and redefine “value” in the industry by solving core industry challenges by building innovative solutions and products. We are here to drive a key growth initiative for Target and to lead the industry to a better way of operating within the media marketplace. One of the key offering by Roundel to our clients for engaging with high-intent shoppers in Target is “Target Product Ads (TPA)”. These are native ad placements placed where shoppers are actively searching and browsing for products.
Role overview:
As a Products Ops Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the product portfolio by bringing data and insights about our users into conversations and ceremonies. You will leverage your prior experience to engage multiple levels of product in the creation and implementation of team routines that reflect product thinking and connection to OKRs as well as enable portfolio level intention maps that fuel collaboration across product. You will be responsible for bringing visibility to dependencies and risks across the portfolio and providing visibility of progress to our Product KPIs through metric visualization and analysis. You are accountable for collaborating across our product and operations teams to improve our core competencies around strategic planning, portfolio health, and communication.
Your core responsibilities include:
Support the portfolio-level roadmap and the process to keep it up to date and accurate.
In partnership with Product Managers, ensure that the product management processes are efficient and scalable. This includes optimizing workflows(product documentations, announcements, issue tracking, retrospectives for regular improvements, etc), managing tools and systems, and implementing best practices to improve productivity and collaboration across teams.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a bridge between product, engineering, and other teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment. This involves coordinating meetings, setting agendas, and following up on action items to ensure smooth execution of projects.
Drive Data Literacy and Enablement: In partnership with stakeholder conduct surveys or assessments to gauge the current level of data literacy within the organization, identify the gaps and help create a feedback loop.
Documentation and Knowledge Management: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, workflows, and best practices. This ensures that knowledge is preserved and easily accessible to all team members.
Risk Management and Compliance: Monitor product operations to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations(eg: MRC). This includes managing privacy requirements, especially in a data-focused environment like Roundel.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by collecting feedback from stakeholders, analyzing gaps in the current processes, and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

About you:
Four-year degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of Product management or Product Ops.
Nice to have working experience on Ads Platform / Data platform & understanding of data processing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark), real-time data technologies, data transformation framework and AI/ML integration.
Nice to have experience working on Hybrid infrastructure of Cloud & On-prem
Experience working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
Ability to self-organize and lead through ambiguity
Ability to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand terminology across Operations, Product, and Technology
Ability to influence peers and partners to find common ground, push for consistency where possible, facilitate conversations, and navigate competing interests.
Curiosity and passion for problem solving
Experience creating and delivering product tools & stakeholder materials
