JOIN THE EVOLUTION OF RETAIL DIGITAL PRODUCT – AS A SEARCH RELEVANCE ANALYST

The Human Intelligence team (aka Human-in-the-Loop) is a non-technical team that provides manual judgments on health and accuracy of existing/new predictions of Machine Learning models/algorithms on Target.com to increase product findability, enable simpler and easier navigation and alignment to guest intent and operational related tasks. Here, you’ll contribute to the end-to-end feedback and health of Models of all Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence which are part of Target Algorithm Portfolio while ensuring data quality improvements and measurements are established in collaboration with the Item Center of Excellence team. You’ll also analyze digital content, provide enterprise-wide project management, strategically influence the development of new technology and engage with a diverse set of cross-functional partners such as Product Owners and Data Science/Engineers from throughout the enterprise on the successful execution of new Product deployment into production.

As a Search Relevance Analyst, you will play a key role in Project managing end-to-end Human Judgement program for training/tuning and evaluating rules/performance of different Machine Learning Models within Target to improve their efficiency and provide transparency.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate and identify Model audit opportunities with different Product Teams, Data Science, Engineering teams and other Stakeholders
  • Govern and lead the Team to deliver optimum performance to meet operational goals, detailed planning of projects and resource management
  • Perform advanced analysis of Reporting to identify outliers and opportunities and apply fixes
  • Analyze and measure the Core Model Relevance improvement programs
  • Provide key suggestions or enhancements on tools or platforms to implement business decisions on model evaluations
  • Focus on defining labelling from user point of view, train data quality analysts and set criterion to measure performance over time
  • Lead and coordinate efforts cross-functionally with business teams, operations, other product managers, and external partners to guarantee a consistent, reliable and scalable Human Intelligence Program
  • Be the top user of  tools related to relevancy measurement to make progress on product backlogs to ensure work and priorities are in line with product strategy/goals
  • Be the scorekeeper of ‘rules reduction’ goal and work with other product managers of the team to continually reduce manual rules and replace it with machine learned models driven by guest preferences
  • Serve as ‘voice of the guest’ to all outside stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that the product team is getting any support it needs.
  • Understand capability of various Item data attribution, item level content, traffic optimization, site taxonomy and attribution management, navigation, facets, sort, internal search optimization

About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from Arts, Psychology or Literature background / 3+ years of equivalent work experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Business acumen with an entrepreneurial, Guest focused mindset Project Management and Team Management
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • High level of initiative and organization, with the ability to manage ambiguity, risk, uncertainty and changing directions
  • Naturally curious; enjoys researching root issues
  • Ability to build and leverage strong cross-functional relationships
  • Ability to multi-task with a high sense of urgency and initiative
  • Detail oriented Strong interpersonal skills
  • Hands-on experience on Excel and Outlook
