PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As a Sr Category Analyst Category Management for Target+, you will support a business fueled by data and analytics to deliver merchandising, and marketing strategies to drive GMV & profit goals, grow market share and guest satisfaction for your category.
Global CFT Partnership:Collaborate locally and globally across teams and Work closely with Product, Technology, Merchandising, Item, and Operations to ensure a seamless category experience, incorporating product automations, key item strategy, and enhancing overall performance.
Business & Assortment Strategy:Utilize data and analytics to analyze the business category, supporting assortment strategy through market share opportunities and benchmarking against key marketplace/sellers. Drive monthly business goal planning and forecasting, manage category insights for expansion, and curate the assortment experience through quarterly Assortment Health Optimization efforts.
Pricing and Promo Planning:Deliver seamless guest experience and value through Promotion Planning & ensure we are competitively priced.
Seller Partner Collaborations:Manage vendor relationships for Category/Essential Tiers, ensuring alignment with business objectives through strategic planning and forecasting. Provide analytical support for strategic and Preferred tier partners.
Business Insights & Reporting:Enable & oversee Business & Partner Reporting data development for accurate & seamless on TAT SLAs & Monitor and drive operational KPI’s at the BU level
About you: Three/Four-year degree, B.S. and/or B.A.
6+ years of experience in merchandising, forecasting, and product selection (including managing and maintaining an open-to-buy and developing strong business relationships with sellers/vendors and industry leaders).
4+ years managing an ecommerce business, with specific experience related to marketing and site experience and optimization preferred
Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships, Develops Business Operations, Enhance Selling and Category Development
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with strong planning and organizational skills
