Within Properties, the Property management team strategically manages Target Properties to deliver a superior store environment for our guests and TMs through an innovative, thoughtful, and financially disciplined approach to property management on Value, Reliability and Brand.​

You will lead strategic growth of a multi-disciplined Property Management team in India. You will drive collaboration with HQ partners, vendors, fields team, business services team and data and analytics team on selected projects. As part of leadership team, participate in strategic talent and business planning as well as goal development activities. Provide team leadership and brand management of the Target culture and Values. Champion behavior where team is obsessed with the guest and create and experience that makes them say “I love Target” to their friends and family.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Operations team by ensuring delivery of established targets including day-to-day service levels, quality measures and guideline adherence measures.
  • Provide leadership to key functions within PM i.e. service operations, smart buildings, energy functions, WO management and field teams.
  • Drive flawless execution of recycling and waste minimization initiatives to achieve set sustainability goals.
  • Lead team of experts who manage contract service providers (interior/exterior), 3rd party operator companies, smart building controls and automation systems, energy and utilities expenses. Lead team through Invoice and Order Processing.
  • Lead development of cross WO support at TII with end-to-end WO management capability for LVM Mgmt and other Escalation Mgmt (Viva and other processes we align on), Aged Work Orders etc. Ensure the PM fields team doesn’t feel different about TII contributions.
  • Department Leadership:  Build a positive and highly engaging work environment that unifies the department, encourages collaboration, and promotes Target as a preferred workplace. Enhance partnership between Minneapolis and TII supporting our one team, two location philosophy. Provides leadership, coaching, motivation and assistance to managers and other team members to ensure teamwork and high performance in the accomplishment of all responsibilities and projects.
  • Manage Talent:  Cultivate talent by recruiting, attracting, and developing new team members.   Work directly with team members to set goals, objectives and position responsibilities that support Target’s vision. Closely monitor high potential and provide resources for continued growth.  Writes and conducts team member performance reviews, recommends, and administers counseling and corrective action. Develops and encourages growth of team members. Initiate and conduct work programs in accordance with Target’s policies, priorities, and budget.
  • Manage Financial Resources: Support the development, forecasting and management of expense budgets for assigned function or department.
  • Provide thought Leadership: Recognized leader within discipline and thorough understanding of how work affects other disciplines. Strategize and implement ways to improve productivity, accuracy, and completeness of work.
  • Drive enterprise value and efficiency through process improvements and automations. Identify process improvement areas and take initiatives to improve business and operational metrics like productivity, quality, TAT, etc.
  • You will drive seamless collaboration across various teams and stakeholders including HQ partners, vendors, fields team, business services team and data and analytics team on selected projects.
  • Be Data savvy to collaborate with Data analytics team to drive trend analysis which can enable relevant business teams to act.
  • Lead CFT forums within PM and at TP level to create required visibility for self and team.

REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to Property Management Director.

Working relationship: All teams within the Property Management (US and India)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master/Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Commerce.
  • 10 to14 years of experience working with a reputed organization in a people leadership role.
  • Possess well developed knowledge of Retail and property management processes and the impact of these strategies on stores.
  • Ability to provide direction, develop and implement processes, motivate others, and build consensus with large groups including cross-pyramid teams.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects, develop and implement schedules, and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic problem-solving skills, highly developed understanding of company’s strategic direction and ability to interpret and communicate senior management directives.
  • Demonstrated ability to make effective presentations to executive groups.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment and the ability to mentor and coach others.
  • Working knowledge of business application software (Outlook, PowerPoint, Project management tools, Excel, and Word).
