In this role, you will lead timely, accurate and professional operational support to internal and external partners. You will provide day-to-day support capabilities for business-to-business (B2B) partners that together elevate Target’s digital business. As a Sr. Marketplace Analyst, You will be accountable to ensure partner performance meets set standards and to remediate poor performance in collaboration with respective business units and partners. This role will require for you to lead a cross functional effort with Category Management, Item Validation, Site Experience, product teams and data sciences to study and derive actionable insights on guest returns and thereafter remediate assignable causes to improve guest returns for Target Plus. You will also be expected to comprehend the breadth of partner needs as well as business goals and create opportunities to drive value for Target to be a high performance Marketplace that is profitable as well as ensure that your decisions and actions ensure the highest standard of partner experience.


  • Independently analyze Partner (Seller) Performance using statistical methods and visualization tools such as Domo and Greenfield on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Devise tactics for delivery and monitoring of Partner Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) for improvement of Partner KPIs
  • Independently interact with top management of Target Plus Sellers in the US and deliver PIPs
  • Devise Partner Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and develop frameworks for analysis
  • Drive weekly Returns Analysis Framework for items and item types with high return rates
  • Lead projects with Category Management to analyze and identify item and item types with poor profitability and devise strategies to improve sales and profitability
  • Analyze trends and work directly with technology teams to resolve defects affecting guest experience
  • Perform analyses and develop business cases and work independently with product team on product enhancements
  • Perform Lead on Duty (LOD) responsibilities including daily process health metric reporting, escalation management and leadership communication
  • Monitor order pipeline and collaborate with external and internal partners to resolve issues pertinent to on-time delivery of orders
  • Lead routines with cross Business Unit partners in India and Minneapolis to arrive at decisions on items with High Returns
  • Partner with Target Guest Services (TGS) and Data Sciences to develop reporting to gain actionable insights to improve guest experience
  • Independently Lead projects to improve Contacts per Order (CPO) and Net Promoter Score (NPS) to elevate guest experience
  • Collaborate with internal cross functional teams to operationalize group strategies and tactics
  • Drive Six Sigma and A3 quality improvements projects focused on delivering business value
  • Independently conduct individual US seller reviews to uncover areas of improvement of Target’s product landscape
  • Collaborate and influence Product decisions using the Agile methodology to improve partner and Team member experience
  • Perform benchmarking studies on competitor best practices, identify gaps in existing practices and implement changes to bridge these gaps


  • Post Graduate or engineering degree in a field of International Business, Supply Chain or Vendor Management
  • At least 7 years’ experience in onboarding, service or support roles in digital, business-to-business (B2B), or other customer/client facing industry
  • Ability to analyze copious amounts data using SQL, MS Excel, Domo and Greenfield
  • Ability to use descriptive statistical theories and tools in data analysis
  • Ability to conceptualize ideas and articulate the same to senior stakeholders within the organization
  • Ability to articulate initiatives, business cases, progress reports using MS Power Point
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Stakeholder management
  • Project Management abilities in defining, planning and execution of projects and initiatives
  • Structured problem solving abilities through critical thinking, logical reasoning and data analysis
  • Excellent communication skills, in both large and small group presentations
  • Ability to make complex ideas simple to understand
  • Prior experience of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Domo, QlikView, MicroStrategy
  • Knowledge of e-commerce processes and systems
