PRIMARY FUNCTION

Manage the Vendor Risk Management (VRM) program across Target in India. This role is responsible for on-going execution and maintenance of VRM operational processes.  Role will engage with a wide range of leaders and teams in our Bangalore Office, training them on VRM requirements and holding them accountable to implementing the risk management processes.  Additionally, the role provides consultation on vendor risks and guides the business in appropriate remediation measures.  Role must have ability to drive for results with urgency, analyze complex problems and develop solutions, identify and implement process efficiencies, hold leaders accountable, and possess strong communication and program management skills

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement and maintain VRM policy, program and supporting procedures. Mange the intake assessment process for vendors in order to determine the appropriate level of due diligence, contractual terms, monitoring, and termination strategies for each vendor. Provide training to leaders across the organization on the VRM process. Support and guide them in the process as needed. Manage service level agreements for due diligence across risk teams, and hold leaders accountable for providing accurate information, Conduct testing and monitoring of vendor management activities to ensure adherence to VRM policies and program. Conduct the due diligence for compliance, privacy, records, and anti-bribery, report findings to leaders, manage closure of any open findings with business leaders. Work closely and collaboratively with other vendor management teams, sourcing experts, and other risk management functions (e.g. Compliance & Ethics, Information Security, and Internal Audit). Understands critical needs and partners with leadership to determine appropriate program priorities.  Act as the main point of contact in India for VRM. Partner directly with domestic VRM team and Director on program and process management and on-going maturation. 

REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports to Senior Manager, Compliance
  • Works closely with Third Party Relationship Managers and Indirect Sourcing & Procurement, Risk Program Owners and Risk Champions

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5-7 years directly related experience
  • Project Management skills and experience
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Ability to hold others accountable
  • Critical thought and consultation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word, Adobe, SharePoint)
  • Highly organized, ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work with numerous partners and get result through others

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certification in Vendor Risk Management
  • Experience in retail or corporate environment working in matrix operations
