As a lead engineer, you serve as the technical anchor for the engineering team that supports a product. You create, own and are responsible for the application architecture that best serves the product in its functional and non-functional needs. You identify and drive architectural changes to accelerate feature development or improve the quality of service (or both). You have deep and broad engineering skills and are capable of standing up an architecture in its whole on your own, but you choose to influence a wider team by acting as a “force multiplier”. As a Lead Engineer on the Cyber Security Digital Detection Engineering (DDE) team, you will be an integral piece in securing Target against current and future threats. Target's Digital Detection function within Cyber Security is responsible for preventing and detecting malicious activity on Target.com.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS or equivalent work experience
5+ years of software development experience
Strong problem solving and thought partnership skills
Demonstrated sense of ownership and the ability to work with a limited set of requirements
Team attitude
Good verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Development experience in any of the following: Rust, Golang
Experience with Unix/Linux administration
Experience with Web security and HTTP protocol
Experience with ElasticSearch
Experience with the following: Git, Docker, Drone, Kubernetes, Kafka
Database administration: Postgres
