Working within Pay and Benefits you’ll provide expertise and support to ensure that Target continues to provide competitive compensation and benefit offerings that help us stand out in the sea of other places candidates can choose. 

As a Senior (Headquarters) Compensation Consultant, you will support key compensation programs and processes. You will support and manage key relationships with vendors, HR Center Of Excellence (“COE”) partners, HR Generalists, and business leaders. Other responsibilities include:   

  • Consult and support the overall Target compensation philosophy through process and project work 
  • Measure the effectiveness of programs to ensure organizational objectives are being met. Provide resulting recommendations to Compensation leadership to change or enhance programs 
  • Recommend new practices and policies to support goals, objectives and business strategies 
  • Partner with Finance, Legal and HR to ensure programs are compliant 
  • Support market research/analysis to establish competitive pay plans/programs within our markets and ensure internal consistency
  • Manage participant communications and education materials 
  • Contribute to special projects as needed

About you: 

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience 
  • 4+ years of Compensation, Human Resources or Consulting experience 
  • Champion of an inclusive and collaborative environment where different experiences are valued and celebrated
  • Critical thinking ability to identify the root cause of an issue
  • Experience organizing projects with multiple partners and stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker that can effectively present ideas to all levels of the organization 
  • Strong partnership and relationship skills 

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target’s needs.  A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that’s not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $65,600-$118,100.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family.
