We are looking for a Senior Engineer with a passion for exploring new technologies and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in e-commerce. As a key member of our web digital team, you will be responsible for researching, evaluating, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance our platform's capabilities. Use your technology acumen to apply and maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies within specialized area(s) of the web technology domain. Evaluate new technologies and participate in decision-making, accounting for several factors such as viability within Target’s technical environment, and maintainability. Initiate and execute research and proof-of-concept activities for new technologies. Lead and conduct code review, testing, and debugging activities at the application level. Participate in functional design and architecture discussions with understanding of process flows and system diagrams to enable design decisions. Participate in routine and non-routine development, automation, and implementation activities, ensuring successful implementation with architectural and operational requirements. About you:

• 4 year degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of web development experience
• Demonstrates strong proficiency in React, CSS, TypeScript, React Testing Library, Cypress, Git, and consuming RESTful web services
• Resolves routine and non-routine technical issues with minimal assistance
• Experience working with Agile concepts & methodologies and communicating to partners within a product team
• Demonstrates a solid understanding of the impact of own work on the team and/or guests
• Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with handling operational incidents and recovery on critical, high traffic sites
