Recruiting and training entry level talent is a core element of Target’s strategy to build a diverse and highly capable engineering team. The Target Leadership Program (TLP), Emerging Engineer Program, and internship programs are the primary mechanisms making up the entry level talent pipeline. Executive and program sponsors focus on program vision, engagement with pipeline participants, and advocacy into the organization.
As a Sr. Manager, Talent Programs within Target Tech, use your skills and experience to be a part of groundbreaking thinking and visionary goals. As a Sr. Manager, you will provide oversight and team leadership to the program management team that owns the administration of the TLP, EEP, Internship, and Genesys Works programs, leading to clearer communication, strong organization and planning, and more consistent program operations across classes. This will include cohesive planning across all pipeline programs, will ensure optimal orchestration and benefits, and establish and track future class sizing by partnering with HR and program sponsors in order to meet business needs.
Consult with HR and tech business partners to research, execute and iterate on the strategy for tech talent development programs. Proactively analyze and present information to stakeholders in a context appropriate to evaluate ongoing programs, strategic priorities and strategic tech talent initiatives--your team will accomplish this through the collection and analysis of class, sponsor, and host feedback and concerns. Facilitate and track action planning for continuous program improvement. Create and execute cohesive communication strategy to host teams, class members, and enterprise stakeholders.
Provide strong team leadership, coaching, onboarding, and career development opportunities to Program Management team as you collaboratively deliver on the program vision and talent pipeline outcomes established in partnership with the Director, Strategy & Operations, executive sponsor and HR team.

- Four-year degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of related experience (program management, career/talent development, project management, etc.)
- Demonstrated leadership skills or previous team leadership experience
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across team, leader, and internal partners
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders and senior leaders
- Strong storytelling and communication skills
- Strong program management organizational skills and high attention to detail with reporting and data
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Initiative to operate in a self-directed manner, sometimes with ambiguous requirements
- Experience in technology or supporting a technology business preferred
- Experience in the training and/or talent development field preferred
