Role Detail

This role will be responsible for the Project Management function and will oversee special projects within Dermstore’s operations in support of efficiently aligning the organization to nurture, guide and serve the largest community who invest in their skin health.

The right candidate is highly motivated, enthusiastic, extremely organized, and thrives working under pressure. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day activity and projects of the Project Management Team, this person will develop, implement, and train the organization on new processes and expand their overall scope of work. This person will optimize efforts, increase productivity, and ensure operational quality standards are always met by following the proper process. Strong candidates will also possess a deep knowledge of best practices in communication and project management and will have successfully navigated a large volume of work under tight deadlines.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Define and execute multi-stakeholder projects designed around all constituents of the Dermstore organization.
  • Proactively lead strategic projects to ensure all deliverables meet required deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Provide strategic direction around People, Process and Tools/technology to support the organization achieve its business goals.
  • Formalize processes including roles and responsibilities
  • Resource management: Ensure workload is evenly distributed across the department (PM, freelancers, and design/art directors)
  • Create communication templates
  • Drive business efficiency across the internal Dermstore organization and external partner network.
  • Support the Dermstore President to execute mission critical programs.
  • Own, define and drive KPIs as related to the projects you are leading
  • Use the JIRA ticketing system to manage workload, project status, and deadlines

Requirements

  • 8 + years of project management experience in internet, digital, ecommerce and marketing-oriented roles within retail.
  • Track record in successfully executing the project management function within a medium sized organization.
  • Demonstrated depth of knowledge in project management.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and relationship management skills - deep cross-functional collaboration is required.
  • Experience leading and building teams.
  • Highly organized self-starter, with a data-driven mentality and a bias towards action.
  • A strong colleague and company advocate who sets an example of professionalism within the company.
  • BA/BS-degree is required, MBA is a plus
