Roundel is Target’s entry into the media business; an advertising sell-side business built on the principles of first party (people based) data, brand safe content environments and proof that our marketing programs drive business results for our clients. As a Business Systems Operations Manager, you will support evolving Target’s Order Management and Activation foundational capabilites to help meet the needs of Roundel, i.e. improving the end to end workflow of ordering and activating a digital advertising campaign via more automated processes and systems. They will play a central role in building relationships with Roundel’s stakeholders in order to fully understand their end to end process and business needs, as they relate to ordering and activating a digital campaign. They will assist the Business Owner/Senior Manager with system administrative responsibilities such as documenting and fulfilling prioritized system enhancements (licensed and/or Target proprietary), to drive the business roadmap forward.
As capabilities are developed, they will be responsible for supporting the rollouts including; leading the training across Roundel to appropriate teams, managing system compliance, developing critical business health dashboards and reports used by Roundel teams and leadership business reviews. They will be a key lead for change management, developing and managing a calendar for necessary communication for Roundel.
The ideal candidate for this role will understand the technology and workflow throughout a lifecycle of a digital advertising campaign and will have a passion for order management and activation, an eye for detail and an enthusiasm for problem solving. In addition to system enhancements that improve workflow, this position will leverage their subject matter expertise in activating a ditigal campaign, specifically in Ad Operations (ad server technology, viewability+brand safety+fraud technology and measurement, and third party tagging). Their position will require internal and external partner consulting on these areas of expertise as they relate to industry changes, Roundel client needs and Roundel specific practices. Their expertise in this area will help guide the overall foundational capabilities to ensure goals are consistently achieved. An ability to collaborate across teams is a must.
- Bachelor degree required (4 years)
- 5-7 years related industry experience
- 1-3 years of experience with order management software, Prisma/Mediaocean preferred
- 1-3 years of experience with media activation platforms such as ad servers, DSPs or social activation platforms
- 1-3 years of experience with hands on ad operations experience such as trafficking, tagging and verification
- Experience in SAAS configuration (Prisma or like solution) using validation rules, Workflow Rules, Flows, Process Builders, roles & profiles, security features, custom settings, custom apps and objects, formula fields, custom views, and other features of intermediate complexity
- Data analytics background preferred
- Experience working with middleware tools, integrations, and APIs
- Strong analytical skills and data acumen
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Genuine curiosity with how things work
