A role as a Category Merchant means working with several cross-functional teams to develop overall visual strategies and aid in their implementation. You will work with broader teams to determine assortment, merchandising, fixture elements, store layouts and in-store behaviors. Through cross-functional collaboration, instinct and creativity, you will be the expert on the guest, the market and the competition.
As Category Merchant you will work directly with several facets of the business from HQ partners, vendors and the field team. You will develop key partnerships, influence overall merchandising strategies, develop rollout plans for large scale initiatives and often work alongside store teams to coach teach and train behaviors. Your flexibility in reacting to business results and your ability to translate financial metrics and data into actionable strategies will be critical. You will interact with Buyers, Operations Managers, Planning, Fixture Teams, Store Design, Vendors, Project Managers, Initiative Directors, Pyramid Leadership, Field Directors, Store Associates, Third-party merchandisers, Category Managers, Real Estate and many other expert partners in support of merchandising execution.

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of Merchandising experience
• Strong strategic and analytical skills
• Strong collaboration skills to partner with Cross Functional Teams
• Strong understanding of Produce and Floral merchandising
• Flexibility to travel and/or work occasional “off hours” in stores for resets
• Comfort with PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Experience with POGs and Visual Adjacencies
• Great communication skills
