As a Target Communications Business Partner for Stores and Fulfillment, you will support enterprise and external communications that highlight the role Target’s stores play in bringing a safe and easy shopping experience to Target guests – especially through our popular and industry-leading same-day services.
This position is responsible for partnering closely with Target’s experts across Stores, Digital and Properties to understand the business strategies and investments that drive Target’s overall narrative.
The role will collaborate closely with Target Communications colleagues and agency partners to develop and execute communications plans for enterprise and external audiences.

Leading the development and execution of communications plans that share the details, strategy and guest benefits of Target’s same-day services externally and internally.
Collaborating with communications colleagues to plan and execute communications related to Target’s investments in physical stores, including accelerated plans for new stores and remodels.
Serving as an on-record spokesperson for Target with national, trade and local media.
Collaborating with Target’s broader communications team and internal partners to communicate in a holistic way across all channels.
Managing PR agency relationships, performance and budgets.
Monitoring the media landscape daily to better understand how Target and our competitive set are being covered externally.
5-7 years of related experience
Strong writing for various forms (i.e., email, key messages, talking points, statements)
Strong media relations skills
A storytelling mindset with business acumen
Executive presence and the ability to coach/counsel senior leaders
Ability to collaborate with peers and influence without authority
Ability to balance multiple competing priorities on a daily basis
Experience working in a corporate communications or agency setting
