The pay range is $125,600.00 - $226,100.00

A role on the Enterprise Insights team means you will be a champion for our current and future guests, inspiring the organization to act in their best interest. You will help partners build consumer-centric strategies and activations.

As the Director Insights Manager, you will report to the VP, Enterprise Insights and have responsibility for creating Enterprise-wide understanding of consumers’ lives and trends that impact retail. You and your team are responsible for understanding the current context shaping consumers’ lives and choices and monitoring shifts that will impact the future of retail. Additionally, you will also have accountability for ensuring relevant consumer understanding is embedded across the organization and shapes current and future business choices. You will be a synthesizer and connector, highlighting what consumer information matters to individual teams, all teams, and our Executive team.

You will serve as a coach, mentor, and developer of people, ensuring effective project management - prioritize, align, meet deadlines, and budget and resource plan appropriately.

About You:

  • 10+ years of consumer insights or market research experience

  • Credible functional leader whose perspective is respected and whose POV is sought out.

  • Effectively collaborates, enrolling and bringing others along in a timely manner.

  • Manages external vendors, experiments with new methods, and leverages emerging capabilities to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Expertise in identifying and anticipating long-term consumer trends (e.g., changing attitudes, lifestyle shifts) and their impact on the business.

  • Strong strategic thinking, informed by a deep understanding of the business, and excellent communication skills to turn data into actionable insights that guide organizational decisions.

  • Assesses their team structure and talent to build an organization model that supports business needs.

  • Develops tangible solutions to accomplish strategic visions.

  • Strong business acumen with ability to drive change in a large, complex organization with matrix reporting relationships.

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
