About the Job:

ThisDirector ofProduct Managementis responsible forTarget’s A/B testing capability and digital data ingestion & distribution platforms. This product portfolioequips Targetwithdecisiontools anddigital analyticsplatforms tosteer innovation withinour digital experience, guide our strategy and unlock extraordinary value for our guests and business.

This role will develop the roadmap and capabilitiesfor testing and analytics toolswhichpower meaningful guest experiences across Target’s rapidly growing digitaland storesbusiness.They will nurture a vibrant anddiverse product management team, leading that teamto develop product plansanddeliver featureswhich:

  • PowerA/B testing capability in digital and store environments

  • Deliver more relevant content toguests

  • Ingest, enrich and distribute web and app data to power Target’s digital data science and analytics capabilities.

This roleis accountable to collaborate withmultiple Digital, Data Science, Tech and enterpriseteams to align priorities and remove roadblocks to maximize business value.

Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable.  Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of allproduct, technology and design work.

As a Product Director, you will set the overall strategic vision for your product space and product team, are accountable for succeeding against identified business outcomes and metrics, will setand manage the product’s budget and financials, set theshort- and long-termproduct goals, and quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

You will be accountable for building, coaching, and mentoring a strong team of product owners while also building a strong team culturerooted in inclusion, connection and driveacross Product teams.  You will be responsible to elevate your collective team’s performance by providing insightful, motivating, and constructive feedback to all roles on the team while also working with senior leadership and peers acrosspyramidsto negotiate and remove execution related barriers for your teams.

You will drive product discovery with key stakeholders to validate hypotheses and concepts with customers before committing engineering time, as you lead highly complex work across multiplepyramids, with interrelated specialties.  You will leverage data and analytics to provide competitive analysis, drive decision making, assess the health and effectiveness of your productsand relatedprofit and lossimpacts, and to deliver recommendations to key stakeholders. 

It will beimportantthat you possess an understanding of retail, digital analyticsor similar area, relevant technologies and design principles in order to drive innovative and scalable solutions acrossmultiplepyramidswithin Target.Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About you: 

  • 4-year college degree (or equivalent experience)

  • 10+ years of product managementexperience or equivalent domain experience

  • Proven team leadershipskills: fostering an engaging team culture, talent development, facilitating collaboration

  • Experience with technologyandability tonavigateacrossbusiness andengineering

  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to influence both at a strategic leadership level and cross functionally

  • Expert at working in the agile environment (e.g.user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)

  • Strategic mindset and bias for action with strong ability for strategic planning, defining OKRs and driving business outcomes

  • 3+years of experience in retail, digitalretail, digital analyticspreferred
