The Enterprise Communications and Corporate Responsibility team shapes Target’s culture, and connects and counsels enterprise-wide to drive the business forward. Multi-language Communications (MLC) is part of the Enterprise Communications and Corporate Responsibility team, and helps the enterprise engage with our multilingual stakeholders. MLC is responsible for supporting all non-English language needs across all business functions, regions, and operations, reaching guests, team members, media, communities and vendors.
As a Multi-language Communications Language Specialist you will:
Build and own our Linguistic Quality Assurance Program
Own vendor quality review processes and assessment of new vendors
Manage enterprise collection of language assets (translation memory, term base, style guide, etc.)
Own training of enterprise Machine Translation engine
Evolve the Spanish language brand voice and update/expand approved Spanish terminology for the enterprise as needs arise
Ensure consistent application of brand terminology in Spanish across the enterprise, and serve as a final approver for Spanish language materials
Manage and resolve queries from our linguists
Support assessment and implementation of new language technology, services and processes
Consistently demonstrate behaviors aligned to Target’s values of Inclusivity, Connection, and Drive

About You:
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in the Translation and Localization industry
Minimum of 4 year degree in Translation or Linguistics, or equivalent, M.A. preferred
Native fluency in Spanish
High-level of expertise with Computerized Assisted Translation tools
High-level of expertise with Linguistic Quality Assurance programs
Experience in Localization Vendor Management
Experience with Machine Translation engines and MT training
Team player and effective at collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders to drive results
Ability to remain nimble and focused
Organized and able to balance multiple competing priorities on a daily basis
Keen attention to detail
Preferred:
American Translators Association Certification
Experience with SharePoint authoring and publishing
Experience with website localization
