Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America’s leading retailers.
Target’s distinctive brand love is infused throughout its many physical locations by the Properties teams. We have a direct and positive impact on the real estate, design, construction, remodeling and maintenance of our stores, distribution centers and headquarters. Are you ready to help strategically grow Target’s brand through leading-edge design, development, construction, and preservation? Can you effectively balance the efficiencies of a large-design build company with the unique challenges and innovative solutions required by individual sites? Then take your place on one of our Properties teams, and help us make the most of Target’s physical assets, both in the U.S. and overseas.
A role in Property Management means the opportunity to maximize the safety, performance and longevity of Target’s assets while delivering value, reliability, and brand integrity. Leverage and stretch your skills, whether your focus is electrical and plumbing, fire and security, smart buildings, HVAC and refrigeration, waste management and recycling, donations programs, or energy utility expense management. Here, your work will exceed the needs of both Target guests and team members, delivering a holistically safe, positive, and pleasing experience, every time they walk through our doors.
As a Lead Program Manager on our Property Management Field Operations team, you’ll design the strategies we use to create our field staffing model, our workload and resources segmentation schedules, and the policies for our unrelenting focus on safe work practices. You’ll use your talents and experience to design, influence and produce the tools and routines used by more than 2000 Property Management field team members. From our technicians in our stores to the field leaders who oversee their performance, you help determine the most effective staffing and segmentation strategy that creates the most value of our most valuable resource—our team. And to ensure safety is always the top priority in our work, you will continually partner with our corporate safety team, industry experts in OSHA regulations and safe work practices, as well as engineers and asset managers to ensure we understand what required personal protection equipment and safety training that would be required to meet and exceed all city, state, and federal regulations.
As our projects and request for store transition work continues to grow, you’ll leverage your skills in human resource management and safety best practices to propose the optimal staffing for our field team—especially in locations that have different workload segmentation attributes and where additional resources should be positioned. This workload planning is done in combination with analysis of both historical and forecasted project volume to create leader best practices that enable them to understand workload, schedule their teams to meet those workload demands and flexing for the unusual spikes of projects across the stores within the districts these leaders oversee. Experience in managing a multi-site field team is a requirement and designing policies to lead in those environments will be highly desirable. Core responsibilities are listed in this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.
