From brand and patent law to contract development and negotiations, you’ll be challenged and gratified by a role with Target Legal Affairs.

A role in Reputation Management means you will help facilitate the company’s holistic response program and leadership of reputation issues management. You will play a key role in coordinating and maintaining an enterprise response framework for these areas of risk.

As a Lead Reputation Management Consultant, you will play a key role in executing the Enterprise Response program, the framework for how the company responds to materialized risk events, as well as the corresponding Reputation & Risk governance structure. You will be responsible for facilitating risk assessments of potential and materialized reputation risks and working with teams across the company to create and execute management plans that prepare for, respond to and recover from reputation risk challenges. You will lead and participate in cross-functional teams and assessments on a regular basis, representing Reputation Management in a variety of situations. Additionally, this role will lead and coordinate reputation stakeholder engagement, working with teams across the company that engage and manage important relationships for Target. This work includes providing coordination around events, and thought leadership around measurement, reporting and establishing best practices. Additionally, you will participate in crisis management exercises and scenario planning, as well as activations.

About you:

  • B.A/B.S degree

  • Minimum 5-7 years of directly related experience in issues management, reputation management, crisis management, communications public policy

  • Excellent written, oral and facilitation communication skills

  • Highly organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple issues and tasks at the same time, strong sense of urgency

  • Team player. Experience participating on and leading cross-functional teams and efforts in high pressure situations and collaborating across departments and teams

  • Bias for action and strong ability to execute with minimal oversight; coordinate, prioritize, establish goals, ensure timelines are being met and use resources effectively

  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills and strong leadership skills we
