A role in Localization means you will be working on a key enterprise initiative at an exciting time when we are learning, iterating and scaling Localization strategies within Merchandising. You’ll use your skills, experience and talents to lead the localization strategy, execution and measurement plans supporting our critical focus markets of New York, Los Angeles and Miami. You’ll coordinate the integration of Localization initiatives into Remodel stores across enterprise, division and category levels 

As the Sr. Buyer of Climate, you will develop and drive the Climate segmentation strategy. You will establish clear assortment & financial goals while maintaining previous efforts. You will leverage your experience in strategic and cross-functional leadership, planning and execution to develop and implement Store-Level strategies and tactics. You will consult with Core Buyers and Planners as they develop individual category-level strategies, providing insights and recommendations for their assortment plans at a localized level. You will capture guest and competitive insights through Virtual Store Visits and partnering with Store Operations and Field Leaders. You will partner with Leaders at varying levels to ensure Climate strategy comes to life through shared financial accountability, assortment planning and execution, and with promotional and visual merchandising support by advocating for assessment and execution of Climate strategies in conjunction with established routines. You will partner with Merchant, Product and EDABI teams to develop improved guest centric segmentation for A&A and influence assort to location capabilities that will deliver on established financial goals of the category. Special projects as assigned related to assortment localization.

About you: 

  • Four-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience  
  • 6+ years of relevant experience 
  • 4+ years of Merchandising experience, including Buyer experience 
  • Excellent communication skills with experience collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams  
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with strong strategic, financial, analytical, and planning skills 
  • Performance-driven individual who demonstrates strong initiative, superior leadership and demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at varying levels
  • Flexibility, resiliency & nimbleness; comfort working in “grey areas” that are constantly changing 
  • Demonstrated cultural competency and passion for diversity & inclusion
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage competing priorities effectively
