Target Studio is an integral part of Target’s Marketing Team and is leveraged for photo and video production services. We partner with teams across the company to bring the Target Brand to life.
As a Photo Studio Equipment Specialist, you will use your organizational skills to support the day-to-day operation of a high-volume photo studio production facility. You will use your solutions oriented and client service demeanor to help photo crews with photo, grip and power needs. Your role is integral to the smooth and efficient operation of this multi-channel creative production space. You will partner daily on-set with Producers, Photographers and Photo Assistants.
Pull and organize photo equipment by project, providing support to an average of ten projects per week.
Ensures the working order, storage, loss prevention, and maintenance of studio photo and video equipment.
Maintain database of equipment; check equipment in and out of tool and provide audit reporting.
Register new equipment with manufacturers
Troubleshoot equipment failure, repair or coordinate repair with preferred vendors.
Check equipment before and after shoot to ensure its in working order.
Maintain inventory of photo expendables, ensuring adequate supplies.
Basic knowledge of power and distribution of power for photo and video; train photo crews on studio power distribution system
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the equipment room as well as housekeeping for studio bays
Help train back-up support.
Provide studio support with daily studio tasks: general studio clean-up, reset studio space.
Provide additional support on set to all photo assistants when needed.
Able to lift 25+ pounds and be on your feet most of the day.
Assist Photo Studio Technical Engineer with tech support as needed

2 year degree in photography or equivalent technical studio experience.
2+ years overall experience working as a digital tech, photo assistant or photographer.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Capture One, MacOS
Proficiency in Profoto, Broncolor and Canon a plus
Curious, Flexible, and open to change
Friendly and approachable; positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
Seeks answers beyond the obvious, utilizing internal and external resources
Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate ambiguity
Action oriented, with ability to prioritize and drive results
