The pay range is $89,700.00 - $161,500.00

A role within Target Social is an opportunity to drive growth and innovation within team strategies and plans. AsSocial Innovation Lead, you will shape the future of social commerce, innovation and inform content strategies on behalf of Target and the social landscape. You will collaborate with partners across the enterprise (including the Social Content Team) to drive and support Target growth strategiesYou will serve as a conduit between cross functional businesses, external platform partners and the social team. You will leverage social platform knowledge to inform cohesive and individualized platform strategies. You will be responsible forestablishing meaningful best in class platform relationships and innovative first to market testing experiences.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Refine and optimize social growth strategy and roadmap by continuously leveraging social analysis trends and performance

  • Collaborate with Content Strategy Team on meaningful and cohesive creativeplatform strategies (content trends, content measurement) including but not limited to, Meta (Insta|FB), TikTok, Google|YouTube, Pinterest)

  • Evaluate and monitor competitive social landscape and emerging platforms to inform social innovation and first to market experiences

  • Evolve quarterly and annual social insights and content analysis to empower cross functional engagement (GMS, Merchandising, etc.)

  • Partner with Digital Media Team to define a cohesive paid and organic social strategy

  • Establish user generated content strategy and unlock connectivity across Digital, Creative and Marketing Teams

  • Lead social newsletter routine, editorial content and iterations to drive awareness of social performance wins, opportunities and competitive landscape

  • Act as social consultant to broader enterprise + Target Marketing on external trends, competitive and emerging platform innovation and testing strategies

  • Responsible for building routines to share regular Social Innovation updates for broader team and socialize work in flight

About you:

  • 8+ years of social media, digital, product, platform or channel strategy experience 

  • Experience with core social platforms Facebook|Instagram (Meta), Tik Tok, Pinterest, Google|YouTube, X, Bluesky

  • Thrives in ambiguous scenarios and leads with curiosity

  • Ability to consume analysis and identify trends to influence strategic innovation

  • Comfort driving clarity and process for stakeholders

  • Strong relationship and communication skills 

  • Inspire and motivate enterprise, platform and agency partners to drive best in class social experiences

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target's needs.  A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.  A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
