As a Senior Art Director/Designer, you will act as a thought leader within the design team; helpingto set design direction through creation of style guides, seasonal campaigns, print weekly AD, andcontinued growth of digital, social and video promotional work.You’ll regularly collaborate with creative partners within Promo Creative such as Creative Directors, Art Directors, and Copywriters. You will work closely with Promo MarketingPartnersto understand business strategy, priorities and timingin order to translate business direction into on-brand creative solutions.
You must be able to effectively communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale, both verbally and visually, and be able to successfully juggle and prioritize work for multiple projects to meet deadlines. You are a person who shows passion, optimism and drive—able to leverage yourexperience to move forward without always having all the answers. You proactively seek outopportunities to learn and stay current with latest tools, technology, styles and graphic trendsand share them with the rest of the design team.Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.
•Must have strong skills in leading projects
•Musthave experience in a variety of mediums: print, digital, social, videoand emerging channels to help drive innovative work
•Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and breadth of design, typography
and a strong understanding and application of art direction
•Leadership skills to provide art direction to photo teams and collaborators
•Effective visual and verbal presentation skills
•Connect creative work to the strategy/brief
•Skilled in managing and executing complex projects at many different stages
•Open to feedback and able to deal with change
•Solid understanding of Macintosh computer and graphics industry software programs,including the CS3 suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
•Have an operational knowledge of font usage, file management, and print & digital
•4-year college degree or equivalent experience
•5-7+ years of creative experience in advertising agencies and/or in-house brand studios
•Experience in retailin theStyle and Hardlines categories are a plus
