Here, your work directly supports the store mission to be the guest-favorite through successfully developing and communicating the processes for operations, structure, model, technology and workforce management activities at over 1,900 locations nationwide. Store Operations manages and enhances the informational resources for researching and resolving operational issues, while guiding and communicating with the field team and leaders who use them. A role within Store Communications means a big opportunity to continuously improve the communication channels between Target Corporate and our team members and leaders in the field.
As a Store Communications Senior Business Partner, you will:
Consult and influence with cross functional HQ teams to write communication for store and field leaders; support a specific business by writing a variety of communications including: quarterly strategies, new merchandise sets, brand launches, pilots and tests, emails, and more.
Gain an understanding of store process and operations to clearly write with a store and guest lens.
Write in a variety of styles (technical, conversational, strategic) and update content for Target stores’ intranet and mobile platform.
Be responsible for consulting, drafting, copyediting, formatting and sending communication to store teams and leaders across the country.
Manage multiple pieces of communications, hold peers accountable to timing and action, and meet all deadlines.
Collaborate with design, video and other creative staff to ensure all forms of communication support Target’s strategies and are prepared and executed appropriately.
Support end to end initiatives that drive operational improvement in stores via updated processes, operational efficiencies, and elevated team member and guest experience.
Represent Store Operations in enterprise cross-pyramid initiatives and ensure that store impact is communicated and understood.
Be curious by exploring ways to improve communication processes internally and for stores and field leaders.
Complete an on call rotation a few weeks per year to support any potential urgent communication needs.

Four-year degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing
4-6 years of work experience in a retail operations environment, the service industry or as a communications professional
Ability to establish and maintain cross-functional working relationships
Ability to manage projects effectively and work in an ambiguous environment
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Stores experience at Target preferred
This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location.A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that’s not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.
Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $65,600 to $118,100.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family.
