The Target Studio is an integral part of Target’s Marketing Team and is leveraged for creative production and enterprise services.  We partner with teams across the company to bring the Target Brand to life.

As a Sr Creative Resources BP, you will be on set each week at our Minneapolis Studio and will apply your technical skills to support the day-to-day operations in an Apple studio environment.  You will use your solutions oriented and client service demeanor to trouble shoot issues and come to resolutions quickly.  Your role is integral to the smooth and efficient operation of this multi-channel creative production space. 

You will partner daily on-set with Producers, Photographers and Digital Technicians in support of project work. Manage hardware infrastructure used in the day-to-day photo studio environment. Evaluate project needs and provide technical guidance and support. Plan and implement hardware and software upgrades. Train new photographers and photo assistants in software/hardware and internal processes for studio workflows.

You will perform regular monitor fleet calibration using i1 profiler, SpectraView and Calman calibration software. Develop studio file workflows that best support the business while maximizing efficiency. Remain current with multi-channel workflows, server configurations and actively assess automation opportunities. Provide back-up support to equipment coordinator at peak times.  Provide expert analysis and recommendations for new software and hardware. Stay up to date on the latest hardware trends including cameras, lighting, and computer technology. Independently troubleshoot complex camera/software systems and communicate broader studio technology issues with appropriate Target Tech partners. About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, photography, or equivalent technical work experience 

  • 5 years overall experience working as a digital tech, photo assistant or photographer 

  • 2+ years experience in similar computer role 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Capture One, MacOS and Canon cameras 

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, think critically, and communicate in small group settings 

  • Exhibits integrity, creativity, ingenuity, and resourcefulness  

  • Seeks answers beyond the obvious, utilizing internal and external resources 

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate ambiguity 

  • Action oriented, with ability to prioritize and drive results
