A role on the Supply Chain Operations Intelligence Team means being at the heart of our perpetual reimagining. This group is the think tank and laboratory for the innovative ideas that spark change throughout the supply chain. We are inventers, metrics masters, data geeks, testers, triers, course-correctors and askers of the all-important question “What if … ?” You will do great work in an agile environment, and show off your cross-functional chops by managing several complex relationships, partnerships and interactions simultaneously. About the Job:
As a Sr. Data Analyst on the Field Operations Steering team you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to initiatives that directly impact Target’s supply chain strategy and performance. The Network Insights & Steering team is focused on analysis, collaboration, and problem solving to drive data driven decisions within our Field Operations Network. This role will be focused on providing analytical support to help provide recommended changes to our key Field Ops metrics. Additionally, this role will be require ability to work with the business to build needed reporting as well as synthesize the insights from this reporting. You will understand business processes to determine data needs, source and analyze data to understand business challenges and build recommendations for reporting and process changes. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to Supply Chain problem solving with a focus on expense and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the GSCL to drive data driven decisions, and influence change.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights in supply chain performance.
- Mentoring and developing less experienced analysts on the team.
- Development of impactful visualizations and insights and be able to communicate them to business partners in a clear, compelling manner
- Build expertise in Data capabilities and integrate with business partners and other data teams to accelerate the product development lifecycle
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of experience in supply chain management, data analytics, or a related field.
- Experience gathering and analyzing datasets with various coding languages (python, SQL, R), with an interest in further developing these skills.
- Experience with Target’s database and reporting platforms such as Greenfield or BigRed.
- Ability to work under ambiguous direction with comfortability self-directing, self-motivating, and figuring out the optimal path forward
Required Skills:
- Experience with R and R Shiny Application development.
