Role Overview:

Works directly with the Director of Digital Strategy and cross-functional teams on building and implementing cross-functional digital routines in order to more effectively drive outsized growth on target.com

Candidate Duties:

The Merchandise Digital Strategy Lead will be known as a curious, resilient, solutions-oriented person who is excited to be a Digital Champion across all categories and an influential leader across all functions.

The successful candidate will:

  • Communicate with candor to drive open debate with the intent of bringing the best ideas to life
  • Through constant curiosity and learning, identify innovative ways to disrupt the status quo and drive the business
  • Focus on identifying process needs to drive outsized digital growth
  • Advise on outsized growth strategies for assortment through Owned Brands, National Brands, DVS, and Target +
  • Effectively collaborate with Site Merchandising to align on priorities and drive improved digital routines
  • Reduce duplicative efforts by clearly aligning on strategies, objectives and expectations/timelines
  • Identify and help to eliminate roadblocks for digital growth
  • Align on top Digital priorities with stakeholders and cross-functional partners to maximize growth opportunities
  • Work directly with digital partners to inform platforms and technologies needed to deliver outsized growth
  • Lead and mentor Buyers, Planners, IM, and support teams on digital acumen
  • Establish and consult on best practices for unfamiliar digital practices
  • Enhance digital routines in partnership with Digital CFT regarding:
    • Assortment Strategy
    • Financial Accountability
    • Inventory Operations
    • Digital Experience
    • Reporting
