Channel Manager, Target Studio Workshop

As Workshop Channel Manager, CREATIVE PRODUCTION, you will oversee and manage a body of Target Studio Workshop production. Your role will be instrumental in driving efficiencies and the growth of this dynamic capability within Creative Production. You will function as point of contact for key internal and external project owners, will provide exceptional client service, and maintain a forward-looking approach to always improving upon the partner experience of interfacing with the Workshop. This role reports to and engages in a regular cadence with Workshop Senior Manager. Core responsibilities of this role are described below, and may change at any time due to business needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the growth and operational stability of the future-state of Workshop business functions and capabilities
  • Builds trust and engagement with internal and external partners through optimal client experiences and communication
  • Interfaces with strategic partners and stakeholders, including senior leaders, and represents Workshop business in interactions with internal and external partners
  • Partners with Workshop Senior Manager to grow understanding of Target business landscape and develop new potential partners across the organization
  • Builds and retains understanding of partner businesses through project interactions and learnings
  • Provides oversight of multiple simultaneous projects, and partners closely with Workshop Senior Manager to provide ongoing project-level visibility, and identify risks and opportunities
  • Maximizes labor efficiency, and strategically aligns resource allocation with future and real-time production priorities within business channel scope, in partnership with Workshop Production Manager
  • Approves and accurately allocates contractor labor, material, and vendor outsourcing expenses in partnership with Financial Manager to project budgets
  • Partners with Financial Manager to maintain constant visibility to project budget tracking, provide estimates, and communicate production costs to budget-holder partners, including change-order implications, and post project reconciliation
  • Partners with Production Manager to identify pending project conflicts within and across channels
  • Partners with Technical Designer to maximize production efficiency through project planning, and ensure that all client partner priorities and objectives are met
  • Maintains oversight and accountability to delivering finished products that meet or exceed client expectations, and meet TGT brand standards, including on-site implementation
  • Acquires and oversees retention of TGT brand-specific knowledge gained through project execution and partner feedback
  • Partners with Technical Designer and Senior Manager to stay current with identify industry trends, identify new methods, and innovate, with a focus on improving sustainability practices and material applications
  • Engages with interdepartmental partners to understand and leverage established enterprise vendor relationships, and internal resources and capabilities
  • Builds and maintains vendor relationships that can be strategically leveraged to meet tight deliverable timelines

About You:

  • Strong ability to communicate at multiple levels and across channels
  • Ability to travel in support of production
  • Proficiency in MS365 applications, Excel, and ability to learn Target-supported project planning tools
  • 4 Year degree or relevant production experience
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects and manage shifting priorities
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills, including: conflict resolution, navigating interpersonal working relationships, and driving collaboration
  • Action and results-oriented
  • Excellent follow-up and problem-solving skills
  • Courageous with an enthusiastic attitude of doing what it takes to get the job done
