We directly support Target’s bottom line through building guest loyalty as the retailer of choice and taking care of our team members so that they can get back to the work they do best, from headquarters to stores to distribution centers.
As a Sr. Specialist in RedCard Guest Contact (RGC), you will assist guests with Target Mastercard, Target Debit Card, and Target Card needs, through incoming calls, in both English and Spanish languages. You will appropriately establish relationships with guests by making strong connections and adding value to each guest experience in order to drive guest loyalty and increase sales. You will be expected to go beyond the guest’s initial question or concern and promote credit & retail products and initiatives. You will be responsible for the following primary duties: supporting general account maintenance for Target Mastercard, Target Debit Card, & Target Card products; providing support for authorization calls from both guests and Target Stores team members to assist with processing transactions; effectively handling escalated calls to address and resolve guest issues and concerns; attempting to retain accounts by appropriately educating guests on RedCard benefits in response to account closure requests; understanding and adhering to established policies and procedures to support compliance with applicable regulations; and meeting department performance expectations and goals related to overall performance. This position will be working from our Target Tempe Campus. Target strives to balance the safety of our team with the support for our guests and the community. As we work to protect our team members, prospective team members and communities during the current COVID 19 situation, we are making temporary changes to our working environment for many of our roles. Our team members performing this role are temporarily working from home. Please talk with your recruiter should you have questions about any work from home requirements or expectations. Please note this is only a temporary work from home arrangement and team members will be required to return to campus to resume working once instructed to do so.
Start Date: 9/8/2020
Hours: 32 – 40, variable based on business needs
Training: Monday – Friday, 11:30 am – 8:00 pm (40 hours for 4 weeks)
Permanent Schedule: Variable hours between 11:30 am – 8:00 pm during Daylight Savings Time (12:30 pm – 9:00 pm during Standard Time) and every other weekend.
- An additional day off will be provided when there is a working weekend.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of previous guest experience or customer service experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively listen and make decisions pursuant to established policies and procedures
- Ability to interact with guests and team members in a professional manner, show empathy, and de-escalate as needed
- Ability to use various information sources to answer questions, identify problems and appropriately resolve guest issues
- Strong technical skills, ability to work within multiple systems at the same time, and high proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking and the ability to prioritize work accordingly
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
