As an Asset Protection Operations Manager (APOM), you’ll be responsible for leading a safe and secure work environment for all Target team members, temporary workers, vendors and visitors at a Target supply chain building. You’ll support building leadership through security incident and crisis management preparations, real-time support and resolution. You’ll drive shortage awareness throughout the building that will contribute to a reduction in shortage and drive inventory accuracy as well as collaborating with key partners to resolve issues that impact shortage. You’ll be responsible for ensuring routines are in place, and being executed, to identify and resolve theft and fraud activity.
As an APOM you’ll develop and lead a team of Target Security Specialists responsible for the execution of all asset protection routines and initiatives to support safe and secure environments and protect Target’s profitability.
Drive a safe & secure environment focused on prevention; collect and analyze information and provide real-time incident support
Support supply chain building leadership through security incident and crisis management preparation, real-time support, and resolution
Drive theft awareness throughout the building and support an intelligence-led approach to identify and resolve theft and shortage concerns
Conduct internal interviews within your building
Build strong partnerships with law enforcement and community agencies to identify, prevent, and resolve security incidents
Support the roll out of company programs and cyclical processes that pertain to shortage, theft, and safe and secure initiatives
Work with store and building business partners and use tools to identify and develop solutions to shortage and profitability concerns
Influence across business areas to ensure adherence to best practices that will positively impact shortage and operational processes (e.g. secured In-stocks)
Train and develop AP team members and ensure they complete all necessary security certifications to comply with local and state laws

Four year degree or equivalent experience
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations with great interpersonal skills
Strong reasoning, analytical, and problem solving skills
Experience managing a team of direct reports
Proven ability to motivate teams and manage conflict
Strong knowledge base of shortage, theft, physical security, and safe and secure practices
Crisis management and threat response experience
Two years asset protection experience and/or retail or warehouse experience
