To kick off the program, two senior leaders in marketing will host a webinar to provide useful context as you prepare your submission. Ask them questions and gain insights with this exclusive opportunity.

how the marketing ideation program works:

  1. Review the business case descriptions, associated resources (videos, reports and articles) and program FAQs for additional context to inform your proposed solution(s).
  2. Develop a marketing solution for one or both business cases.
  3. Submit your entry via the online submission form(s) (Note: The submission period for this program is now closed). Entries will be reviewed and evaluated by a cross-functional team based on the judging criteria below.

After submission of your entry you can add this Marketing Ideation Program to your resume using the following language: "Competed in Target's inaugural Marketing Ideation Program to propose creative marketing solutions to key business priorities"

judging criteria

Entries submitted to the Marketing Ideation Program are reviewed by a company-wide cross-functional team using the criteria below. We are looking for ideas and solutions that meet the following:

  • Clear articulation and illustration of idea
  • Creativity and original thinking
  • Strength of strategic idea
  • Impact on the guests we serve and communities we operate in
  • Ability to be executed physically and digitally

incentives:

  • All participants receive:
    • Exclusive 1-hour webinar with senior marketing leaders
    • Ability to enhance your resume with a unique marketing engagement
  • The 1st place entry for each business case will receive a $500 Target GiftCard and a write-up in our Pulse Blog
  • The 2nd place entry for each business case will receive a $200 Target GiftCard
  • The 3rd place entry for each business case will receive a $100 Target GiftCard
  • The 4th place entry for each business case receive a $50 Target GiftCard
  • The 5th place entry for each business case will receive a $25 Target GiftCard
